What financial documents should I provide?

What additional documents may I need?
Usually, when applying for a residence permit or permanent residence, you must prove how long you have lived in the UK. The easiest way to prove this is to provide your Social Security number when you apply. If you did not provide your social security number, you must provide other documents. If you have had months when you did not work or lived outside the UK, there may be gaps in your National Insurance record. You may need to provide documents to fill these gaps. For example, you can provide proof of stay in the UK:
  • tax invoices;
  • mortgage statements for a house or apartment;
  • rental agreement and proof that you have made payments - such as a bank statement or receipt;
  • annual bank statements;
  • pay slips;
  • water, gas or electricity bills;
  • other bills for your home and proof that you paid them, such as repairs, home insurance, or taking your pet to the vet.

Tier 2 visa holders may work an additional 20 hours per week in the following cases:
  • If the job is on a shortage list, or is in the same sector and professional level as the job for which the Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) was assigned.
  • Outside of CoS-covered hours for the Tier 2 ICT visa.
    How much personal savings should I have in my account?

    If you are applying for a single visa, you must have £ 945 in your bank account 90 days before you apply. This should prove that you can support yourself. You do not need to deposit money for the set if you have a fully approved sponsor (rated "A") who can give you at least £ 945 to cover your expenses for a month if. Your sponsor must confirm this on a sponsorship certificate.
